Paws for Life Rescue is a nonprofit, all-breed dog and cat rescue operating in southeast Michigan. Run by dedicated, hardworking volunteers, Paws for Life is a shelter partner. We rescue dogs and cats from overflowing shelters in Michigan, saving two lives - the one we take and the one that needs the empty kennel space we left behind.
Speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Hello humans, my name is Licorice and I don't care for you all too much. You see, my experiences with your species haven't been stellar. They've been scary and not fun. But I do understand that I need a human, or two, to put the food in the bowl, the water in the dish and the litter in the poop box.
So I have a deal for you ... I like cats and dogs. Do you have a cat who wants a friend? Cause I'd like to sign up for that. I will be your's cat's buddy, constant companion and friend. You put the food in the dish. As a bonus, I will learn to love you. I will purr when you pet me and I will melt into your hands. Just don't expect me to be all goo-goo-ga-ga about new humans who decide to come over and invade my space. I decide which humans I bond with and it's probably gonna be the ones who put the food in the dish.
I like to play and I am litterbox trained. You're welcome. So, please apply today and let's do this deal
Apply today! Adoption fee: $75. Adopt a pair: $115. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance.
A very special girl named Bran is looking for a very special home!
See, Bran doesn't know that she's special. She is confident, full of life and absolutely sure that she's no different than the other cats. She plays. She climbs. She cuddles. She eats like a champ. Please help us find the best possible home for sweet little Bran. Here is her story ...
Hi, friends! My name is Bran and I'm a super special girl who was born on May 1, 2021. The rescue isn't quite sure what happened to me before I came to them, but when they got me they found I have some mobility issues that cause me to wobble when I walk. I don't have control of when I go to the bathroom either, but I do very well in my diapers. I can tell you that it doesn't bother me one bit, and the volunteers describe me as confident, fearless and sassy. I am always running around with my foster siblings and I enjoy a good wrestling match.
While I can walk, sometimes I get tired and drag my back legs, but I still go up and down stairs, scale cat towers and go wherever I want to go. My care is a little different than other cats, but it's pretty easy and I (aka my foster mom) can walk you through it. On the plus side, you'll never have to clean a litterbox for me. I promise if you take me home, I will have you laughing in no time with my silly antics and we can enjoy so many good snuggles together. Please give me a chance. I have lived with cats and dogs before and would love to be in a multi-animal household!
Adoption fee: $75. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance. If you want to adopt or foster Bran, just fill out an application!
